The woman at the well had spent years trying to fill a thirst that was deeper than water. Hoping no one would notice her, she went there in the middle of the hot day. Shame had pushed her into hiding, and she went looking for love, belonging, and purpose. Who hasn’t been there before?
But Jesus showed up right in the middle of her ordinary moment. He didn’t shame her or walk away. He met her right where she was and offered her what her heart was really craving: living water. He offered her not just forgiveness but wholeness, not just acceptance but a home.
Jesus meets us right in the middle of our mess, too, and calls us his own. You don’t have to keep chasing the dry well. You don’t have to hide. You are seen and loved. You have a home in Jesus.
