Live It – Becoming a Person of Vision
I have found myself in the middle of the dark, not wanting to turn the lights and disturb the entire house, feeling my way across a room that was occupied by a Lego build earlier that day. And by some magical magnetic force, my bare foot finds the one isolated LEGO piece that jabs with the force of 10,000 needles into the most tender part of my foot.
When we cannot see, we try to feel our way forward. When we are not living in the light of God’s truth, we are living in darkness. When our lives are not illuminated by the light of God’s truth, we live our lives by feeling our way in the darkness.
The world around us lives in darkness. The world around us lives by its feelings. We are not called to live in darkness but in God’s wonderful light. We are not called to live by our feelings but by God’s divine truth.
