Day 11- The Faithful and Wise Manager

A major theme of Jesus’ teaching was faithfulness. This little scenario is another example of that theme.
In this parable, Jesus simply states that if a master leaves a servant in charge and returns to find the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward and added responsibility. If, on the other hand, the master returns to find the servant has abused the other servants and done a poor job managing the assets, there will be dire consequences. (Don’t get wrapped up in the severity of the punishment as recorded in the story.) Just remember that unfaithfulness results in undesired consequences.
The message to us is to be faithful. If we are, there will be rewards. If we are not, there will be consequences.
