Day 12- The Command to Evangelize

Read it: Acts 2:42 NLT; Matthew 28:19-20 NLT
Live it:

As we learn from Acts 2:42, there are five critical functions of the church. They are Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, Ministry, and Fellowship. Today, we are going to discuss Jesus’ command to evangelize. Although the Great Commission appears in the gospels of Matthew and Mark, and Luke addresses it in Acts 1, we are going to focus on Matthew’s account.

The operative word in the command is “Go.” “Go and teach all nations, baptizing them…” This is the great command to evangelize all nations with overtones of discipleship. With all the technologies we have available to us today, it is easily conceivable that anyone can evangelize someone in far away places. A Facebook post, a text message, an Instagram picture, an email, or a plethora of other possibilities exists for us to tell others about Jesus.

How are you responding to the command to evangelize?
