To be a person of Vision, we have learned that we need the light of God’s truth to illuminate the obstacles that are coming our way. Yesterday, we learned the necessity of reading God’s Word every single day. Our main verse for this entire devotional plan has centered on His Word being a light to our lives.
But what if I told you that reading the Word wasn’t enough? Even if we read the Bible every single day, it is not enough for our lives to be illuminated with the light of God’s truth. A good example of this is social media. Social media can be a great tool for people to read the Word of God. I see Bible verses posted in cool, artistic ways on Instagram on a daily basis. I read them, but is that truly illuminating my life?
The first step is reading the Word, but the next vital step is MEMORIZING THE WORD.
We need the light of God’s truth to penetrate the dark corners of our mind, and the only way for that to happen is by being dedicated to memorizing key verses.
This is the reason we have been reading our theme verse every single day of this devotional. It’s not just to make it a habit but for memorization purposes: to bring the light of God’s truth to every corner of our minds.
