In yesterday’s devotional, we talked about the power to evangelize that is spoken of in the first part of Acts 1:8. There is much more to that verse. The verse says that we will be witnesses of Him in several locations, specifically Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth.
Let’s look at each of these and see what this means for us.
- Jerusalem – Our Jerusalem is our immediate area, Eastmark, and the immediately surrounding areas. Your Jerusalem is your street.
- Judea – Our Judea is Mesa, Apache Junction, Gilbert, Queen Creek, and San Tan Valley. Your Judea is your neighborhood.
- Samaria – Our Samaria consists of Maricopa County and Pinal County. Your Samaria is the neighborhoods surrounding yours.
- The ends of the earth – This is exactly what the words say – the whole world. That is true of our church as well as us as individuals.
Focus Church affords great opportunities to engage in evangelism. Get connected, and let’s share our faith with this community and beyond so that the Kingdom of God is expanded and God is glorified.
