Have you ever been betrayed by those closest to you? Jesus knows those feelings well.
One of the many great things our God does for us is send us help. He sent us Jesus, His son, in human form. And boy, did Jesus experience some human things. Jesus did absolutely nothing wrong and was not only accused of many unjust things, but he was also betrayed by men who were ride-or-die followers. If anyone truly didn’t deserve it, it was Jesus, yet he suffered that pain for us, not only the physical pain we will see in the next few chapters, but the emotional betrayal of a relationship.
As you read this portion, notice how Jesus manages this unjust, unfair, and painful situation with grace, mercy, and perfect peace. Let that speak to the areas of your life where you may feel similar pains.
