Day 21- Closing

Read it: Exodus 34:14, Romans 5:10-11

Live it:

We’ve spent the past 20 days talking about the names we call God, but what about the name God calls us?

Did you know that he calls you a friend? That means he is passionate about his relationship with you, and our readings today begin with a reminder of his passion for a relationship with us and ends with the confirmation of our friendship with him. That is a radical confirmation. The creator of the entire galaxy wants us to be his friend!

Friendships take work. What type of work does God want us to put into the friendship with him? He wants us to seek him with all our heart. Are you doing that? Are you daily seeking God with all your heart? Are you spending time with him?

What would a friend be if you never spent time with him? Not a friend. You’re going to become a friend of God when you want to be a friend of God because you are as close to God as you choose to be.

Knowing and loving who God is is our greatest privilege and being known and loved by him is our greatest pleasure. If you feel far from God, he didn’t move. You feel far from God because you didn’t make being close to him a priority. The good news is that you can decide right now to make knowing God your number one priority. Don’t delay. Make that change today!
