Read it: Exodus 14:21-31
Live it:
Have you ever been in a situation where you asked yourself, “What are we going to do now?”
More often than not, I have gotten myself into situations where I was asking that question. The fear and my understanding are always deceiving me, but I try to remind myself that it is God’s will not mine that will be done, and I must be obedient in doing that.
Obedience requires doing the things that will challenge your understanding and comfort: things like tithing, sharing the Gospel, helping at church, or helping someone else in need. Obedience positions you to experience faith, and that faith will position you to experience God in ways you have never experienced Him.
In Exodus 14:31 it says, “When the people of Israel saw the mighty power that the Lord had unleashed against the Egyptians, they were filled with awe before him. They put their faith in the Lord and his servant Moses.”
They were filled with awe before him. How amazing is that? They experienced miraculous protection!
When we encounter situations that leave us hopeless and wondering what is going to happen, we must remind ourselves that our God loves us, and He will make a way!
