Live it:
A couple of months ago; I was sitting down for lunch with a couple of other church planters. These are great guys who share my same love for fun and ministry. As soon as our meal arrived; I turned to one of the other pastors and said; “Would you thank God for the meal?” He immediately obliged. Then; he proceeded to pray a blessing over each of our churches; each of our families; each of our communities; and I’m pretty sure he prayed for every other pastor in the 50-mile radius. As soon as he finished; in a joking manner; I said; “That’s the last time I ask you to thank God for the meal.”
Prayer doesn’t have to be fancy. It doesn’t need to be eloquent. It doesn’t have to have the exact right words at the exact right time. It simply needs to be completely honest and consistent. Speak your heart to your heavenly Father.
Keep training to be like Jesus, and start your consistent prayer life today.
