Day 11- Feel Different: How do I choose gratitude?

Read it: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 & Psalm 36:1 & Ephesians 5:20 & 1 Timothy 1:12 & Psalm 118: 28-29 & 1 Chronicles 16:34

Live it:

Have you ever taken a shower? I sure hope you have! I never really appreciated showers until I wasn’t able to take one for 10 days. Our apartment of 10 guys went for 10 days without water. I think it goes without saying just how unpleasant things got.

When the pipes were finally fixed, it was a moment of gratitude to say the least. But gratitude is so much more than just circumstance.

It is easy to be grateful in the moment, but what about all the time? Living different is about more than just temporary gratitude; it is a gratitude that is pointed at God every second of every day.

A gratitude that is pointed towards God does not change with the circumstances. It is consistent. When we truly realize this, we can keep a spirit of gratitude in everything we do.

Today, we have a lot of scriptures to cover. As you read each verse, I encourage you to ask yourself, “What way do the scriptures show gratitude? How can I follow the example?”
