Read it: Ephesians 1:22-23, 1 Corinthians 15:9, Colossians 1:18, Philippians 3:6, Matthew 16:18
Live it:
I remember walking into a church in Africa. I walked out six hours later. I did not understand a single song or a single message (there was more than one). There were no translators or Powerpoint slides to follow. There was no QR code to scan. Yet, despite all that, I left refreshed and encouraged. My mind could not comprehend anything from the past six hours, but my spirit could.
I was halfway around the world, in a foreign country with a foreign culture, listening to a foreign language. But I was at home there. There is nothing else like it. The Body of Christ transcends any obstacle that the world may have!
Our scriptures today talk about the universal church. Pastor Darren loves to preach about unity in diversity. The universal church is the world’s greatest example of this. People from every corner of the globe, united under one banner and name– Jesus!
It is that very foundation in Christ that binds believers together. He is the head of the church.
We know this truth. We proclaim this truth. We live this truth. That is church!
