Day 11: The Kingdom of God

Read it: Colossians 1:13-14, 1 Thessalonians 2:12, Romans 14:17

Live it:

When we think about the kingdom of God, sometimes our minds can’t help but think it’s a distant place. When we look at the scripture, it references the kingdom of God being here now.

Let’s look at Colossians 1:13-14, “…transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son…”

Because Christ “transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,” we now have a citizenship that speaks highly of who we are and a citizenship that brings forth a challenge and a responsibility.

1 Thessalonians 2:12 says, “We pleaded with you, encouraged you, and urged you to live your lives in a way that God would consider worthy. For he called you to share in his Kingdom and glory.”

The Kingdom of God is a destination and a reminder to whom we belong. The scriptures bring a priceless reminder that we ought to walk in love and with a sense of spiritual submission to the Holy Spirit because He purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.
