Have you ever tipped a server the amount of your purchase? I have, and it’s fun to see the surprise, delight, and wonder on their faces. It feels great to bless someone out of the abundance God has blessed us with.
God doesn’t want or need our wallets, but he does want our hearts. He gives us the opportunity to participate in what he is doing when we give generously to his work. It is our tithes and offerings that allow the church to meet needs in our congregation, in our community, and throughout the world.
It is a continuous cycle of abundance and generosity flowing through our lives with the ultimate purpose of bringing glory to God. Is it time for you to point others to the Lord by becoming part of the generosity cycle and sharing out of the abundance God has blessed you with?
