Live it: Today’s passage is just one verse, but to fully appreciate it, read the three verses before it and the verse after it.
Couched in a list of things to do in light of the coming of “the end of the world,” today’s verse tells us to be generous in the use of our spiritual gifts given to us by God. Verse 11 gives two examples of spiritual gifts and how to use them to serve others. The ultimate goal of this generosity is to glorify God.
Question to ponder: Am I generous with my spiritual gifting? Do I use my spiritual gifts to serve my fellow Christ followers? Do I use my spiritual gifts to serve those in my sphere of influence who need to know Christ?
