Day 15: Confession
Read it: 1 John 1:9-10, Proverbs 28:13

God wants us to experience the amazing joy of being completely forgiven of every sin. But there are two thoughts that weigh us down, preventing us from knowing this is true.
- God can’t forgive me.
“What I have done is so horrible, it is impossible that He could ever forgive.” But today’s reading teaches us the opposite is true. 1 John 1:9 says “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” God is not a liar, when he says he will forgive, he means it!
- God can’t forgive me again
“I have done this sin so many times that God by now is sick and tired of me coming to him over and over.” We tend to think of God on the other end of a phone. We have called him and called him about the same sin. Over and over and we are sure that if we call him once more he’s going to hang up on us! But the bible tells us that if we confess our sins…he will forgive. 10 times, 100 times, 1000 times. It says if we confess, he will forgive. Period.
Are you willing today to pick up the phone to God and confess you sin again and again? You may have started this day with the heaviness of sin, but you don’t have to end it the same way!
