Live it: Aesop’s fable about the turtle and the hare racing each other is a classic example of the importance of pace. The hare ran way ahead and got distracted. By the time he realized he was way behind the turtle; it was too late. He lost the race.
A good steady pace is to be preferred to spurts of speed. Today’s verse speaks to us about keeping pace with the Holy Spirit. We must be careful not to race out ahead of Him, and we certainly must guard against falling way behind.
Keep that steady pace as the Spirit leads us in our daily walk with God.
