Day 19 – Thief on the Cross
Read It: Luke 23:30-43, Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:8, 6:23, 10:9

Our scripture reading today tells us that when Jesus was on the cross, he had a criminal on each side of him who was also on a cross. However, Jesus was the only innocent person on the cross that day.
Our second scripture reading reminds us that we are also not innocent. But, we can ask for forgiveness and believe in the following:
- That God loved us so much that he sent Jesus to die for us while we were still sinners.
- We deserve to face the consequences of our sins, but if we openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved
- Therefore, we can take comfort in knowing that we will be with Jesus in paradise after we die.
