Read it: 1 Tim 4:12, 1 Corinthians 4:17, 1 Thessalonians 3:1-2
Live it:
Have you ever had someone tell you that you are too young to make a difference? Or maybe even the opposite, you’re too old for that now? I think we can all relate to a moment like that in our lives. And it can be a little discouraging. But in today’s reading, we look at Timothy, someone who was considered “young” at the time.
I remember the moment when I was in high school when I was asked to serve in our baby room at church. I had just said yes to Jesus and was hesitant to say yes to the ask. But the kids’ pastor at the time said something that has stuck with me. She reminded me that I could serve God at any age.
And that is what Paul is reminding us of today as we read about Timothy. We are called to be the example to others through the way we live our lives, no matter our age.
