As simple and complex as a question sounds, ‘What is the church?’ brings forth a time to analyze what it actually means. In today’s age, many call church a building, while many call the church a group of people. But what does it actually mean?
When we read today’s scripture, I believe we find our answer in verse 41. The answer is “Those who believed…” To believe the message, you must first listen to the message. Those who believed “were baptized and added to the church..” They received the message, and they obeyed what God was calling them to do.
So the question is, ‘What is the church?’ The church is the group of people who listen and receive the message of our Lord Jesus Christ and obey what he is asking us to do. Peter acted on the same principle in the day of Pentecost; he listened, and he obeyed. Today, you have an opportunity to listen and obey the only true living God.
