Read It: Psalm 119:111-112
Live It:
Today’s reading is all about law. We live in a world that is filled with laws. Some laws exist to protect us and some laws exist to annoy us. I know I am not the only one upset when I see the 45 mph speed limit on Route 24.
God’s laws are not like human laws. They are perfect in every way and lack nothing. Look back at day one’s verse, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” His decrees lead us to a guaranteed outcome, eternal life!
Think about it this way, if all you needed to guarantee eternal life was to drive the speed limit, you would never speed again! I would treat that 45 mph like a treasure, my heart’s delight. We must treat God’s laws the same way!
Josh
P.S. They just changed the speed limit to 55. Praise the Lord! Won’t he do it!
