Live it: Today’s scripture opens our eyes to a truth we often forget, but it’s a cornerstone in the hope we profess. To understand that the earth and everything in it belongs to the Lord brings forth two things for us to consider:
We have a personal responsibility to be a good steward of it
Our Father lacks nothing
When we apply the latter to our life, it opens an understanding that if God lacks nothing and He is our provider, then we shouldn’t worry about what we’re going to have or not have. This understanding allows us to be generous because we follow the same principle God does. Everything is His, and He gives everything to us. He is generous; therefore, we are generous. Praise be to our Lord that He leads by doing it, not by saying it. Is He calling you to be generous today?
