Live it: There is one thing that every human being desires, and that is to be loved. There is a yearning in everyone’s soul to be valued and cared for. The reality is that true love can only be found in Jesus. This world paints a picture of what is “true love,” but the reality is that their version is counterfeit. It’s a lie that many believe. Even we followers of Christ fall into this trap. We must remember that he loves us.
He loves us so much that he gave his one and only son, Jesus Christ, as a ransom to free us from our sin! It was a gift given with deep love. But wait.. There is more. He also gives eternal life to those who believe in him! This world is only temporary. One day, all those who believed and confessed him as their savior will go to heaven to live with him eternally.
We must remember daily that God loves us deeply and that this place is not our home. That out of the generosity of his heart, he gave his son Jesus to save us. Let’s keep our eyes and hearts focused on his gift: the greatest gift given to mankind.
