Have you ever asked for help and received a reluctant response? By the time they were finished, you probably wished you hadn’t asked in the first place.
God doesn’t like reluctant givers any more than we like reluctant helpers. That is why the attitude of our heart is of primary importance to God. An attitude of gratitude is what God is looking for when we give. He wants our generosity to be driven by an abundance mindset anchored in faith and trusting that he will provide for all our needs.
If you struggle to believe God will provide, look at 2 Corinthians 9:8. It states, “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in ALL things at ALL times, having ALL that you need, you will abound in every good work.” Now, that is good news that encourages us to give cheerfully as we live lives of generosity.
