Live it:
Have you ever thought… “If I just had_________ (insert car, dream job, home etc…), my life would be so much better?” Then, once you get the item and enjoy it a bit, you want more. The emotional high that is felt when a purchase is made is a real thing. Ecclesiastes 5:10 tells us that “Whoever loves money never has enough..”
The truth is the things of this world, the emotional high of the moment, the love of things or money will never be enough.
So if I shouldn’t spend my money on a whim, what does the Bible say about saving? Proverbs is full of financial advice like- be diligent, build savings (store houses), gather money little by little. Proverbs 13:7 shows us how most Americans are living today: pretending to be rich but full of debt.
Live Different- don’t have a car payment, don’t have credit card debt, don’t have the nicest clothing or home… or don’t have fill-in-the-blank.
Truly Living Different financially, saving and not spending, starts with the simplest truth: God will provide for me, so I will trust Him.
