Day 19: A Place to Worship

Read it: Psalm 92:13-15, Psalm 27:4, Psalm 23:6, Psalm 122:1

Live it:

“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭122‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There was one place David loved being in the most. That was in the house of the Lord. The reason why he loved being in the house of the Lord was because that was the place where he was able to meet with the Lord. A place where he could worship his creator. A place where he could be in the presence of the Almighty God. David understood that there was nothing better on this earth than just being with the Lord. There was nothing better than playing his harp and worshiping the creator of heaven and earth. He knew that in God’s presence there was healing, love, and, restoration.

The House of God is a place to worship, a place to give glory to the one who saved us from the pit. Of course, we can worship on our own, but there is something powerful when we worship together in the house of the Lord.

There is power when the redeemed of the Lord sing praises to the King! When we worship together, the walls have to come down. When we sing worship to our Lord Jesus, the enemy has to flee. So the next time you’re at church and the worship is going, remember the house of the Lord is a place of worship. So feel free to lift your voice, lift your hands, and sing with all your might, for he is worthy of our worship!
