One of my favorite stories; and one that impacted me so much; was told to me by my Pastor; Pastor Dino Rizzo.
He and a good friend of his, Pastor Rick Bezet, had the tremendous opportunity to meet with the one and only Dr. Billy Graham just months before he passed on to Glory.
As they walked into the room, Dr. Graham sat in his chair, a blanket over his legs, and an open Bible in his lap. After talking for a little while, Dr. Graham asked Ps. Dino, “Would you pray for me?” Shocked to have Dr. Graham ask for prayer, he responded, “What would you like me to pray for?”
Dr. Graham’s response shook my pastor. He said, “Pray that I finish well.”
Like my pastor, I have embraced those words and our verse for the day.
There is no coasting to the finish line. Keep fighting the good fight, keep pushing to the end, and hold strong to your faith.
