Day 20: The choice to seek God
The priority to seek the Kingdom of God above our daily needs is the ultimate exercise of walking by faith. It leads to a generous spirit because we understand that God provides everything we need.
In Paul’s first letter to Timothy, he gives some very important instructions concerning false teachers. They look for position and power, quite the opposite of generosity. When we place the right priority on the Kingdom of God, we do not need to seek power and position, so we can dare to be generous.
As you read and meditate on today’s brief Bible passages, think about your attitude. Have you allowed the priority of the Kingdom of God to produce a generous spirit in your own life?
