Day 3 – Jesus’ Disciples when Jesus died-

Dreams, aspirations, and goals- motivate and guide us during tough times, but what happens when all those things come crumbling down, or when you have no answers to what’s happening?
In those dark moments, we often rely on our understanding. Anger, frustration, and disbelief are such a natural way to react when we lose hope. The disciples were no strangers to that. Mark 14:50 says, “Then all his disciples deserted him and ran away.”
Was hope lost? Certainly, in their minds, it seemed that way. But the truth is, hope never leaves us. We often just fail to see it when it doesn’t align with our present circumstances.
I love the verse in John 20:9 NLT that states “for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead.”
Hope never fails. What fails is our understanding of it.
God has a plan, and in our darkest moments, he is there. We must trust God’s will and remind ourselves that his promises are true.
We have a choice when we face uncertainty in our darkest moments: Do we trust our thoughts, or do we trust God’s plan?
We must choose to believe and trust in the God who makes all things possible.
