Read it: Exodus 32, Leviticus 9:22-24
Live it:
While I was a student at Bible College, a group of my friends gathered at my townhouse. We were hanging out and having a good time until one individual in the group pulled out a board game called Big Brother the Board Game. It was based on the reality show Big Brother.
If you don’t know anything about the show–or the board game–I can tell you the goal of the game with this one basic statement: You will get upset with ALL of your friends.
You don’t want to be the bad guy, and you don’t want to upset anyone, but the questions that are asked will force you to get upset at almost everyone. One specific question directed at me was “Who in the group would be the dictator?” After all the votes were tallied, it turned out that everyone voted for me.
I asked why? And the response was pretty much the same across the entire group: “When a decision needs to be made, you will make it.”
You see I learned something very important earlier in life and that is that you can’t please everyone. Instead, live your life to please only One…The One True Living God!
