Read it: Romans 6:15-7:6
Live it: Paul tells us in this chapter that we as believers have been “freed from sin” (6:7, 18, 22). What does that mean to us today in regard to righteous living?
While we are still capable of sinning, we can choose not to sin. Our choice of masters determines whom we will obey. “You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.” (6:16)
While the choice of life or death sounds simple, choosing to live for God is not easy. Starting with Adam and Eve, humanity has failed miserably at obeying God. But then Jesus made a way for us to be right with God.
To be free from sin means we can choose to live for Jesus Christ. We can choose to be what He has saved us to be.
