Read it: Day 1- Hebrews 12:1-3 & Hebrews 11:1-33

“Who am I?” A question that has gripped the minds of men and women throughout history. “Who am I? What is my purpose? How can I find fulfillment? How can I find happiness?”
When we ask these questions, what we are truly seeking is our true identity. We can look at our current culture and see that we are struggling with an identity crisis as a nation, and we are struggling with our own personal identity.
Why are so many people struggling to find their true identity? Why is our culture struggling with finding its identity? Because so many people are living in darkness. You can’t find your identity if you can’t see your identity. You can’t see your identity if there is no light. There is no light when you live in darkness.
1 Peter 2:9 NLT
“…for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”
Today, we are introduced to some of our heroes of the faith and see how their struggles can help us understand how to find our true identities. That’s just today, but I want to encourage each of us, over the next 21 days, to pray the prayer to move out of the darkness and into his wonderful light. As we move into his wonderful light, he will reveal to us our true identity.
