Binge The Bible

December 2025

“I’ll be home for Christmas…” A song that has been sung nationwide since Bing Crosby recorded it in 1943. A song originally written to honor the service men and women that were overseas during World War II. A song that continues to take on new meaning in each of our lives.

“I’ll be home for Christmas…” Becomes a longing to be with family. A longing to go back to a simpler time. A longing to be someplace safe, someplace accepting, someplace that feels like home.

At Focus Church, “We believe every person needs a church home.” We say this, but what does this statement mean? We believe everyone should be with some sort of family, everyone should be someplace safe, someplace accepting, someplace that is home.

Our ultimate home is found in the presence of Jesus Christ–the only place where we are truly safe, truly accepted, and truly loved.

Over the next 21 days, we will see how so many other people had the same longing that we have today: “I’ll be home for Christmas…”
